I spotted these animal murals near Fianarantsoa in Madagascar. Most of the signs and advertisements were still all hand-painted there which seems very extraordinary for a western visitor.
I chose these paintings here because of their strong personal touch. I really wonder who has painted them? Aside signs they are beautiful illustrations, which could be easily seen in fabrics or magazines in western countries! Especially inventive use of colour is worth mentioning.
And the cute animals in the pictures are of course lemurs like aye-ayes, sifakas and also local carnivore fossa.
